Born from the burning embers of the UK’s underground heavy music scene, Fates Messenger is a heavy metalcore unit forged in the south of England, drawing influence from all genres across the metal and hardcore scenes. The quintet boasts a fearsome pedigree spanning decades in the music scene, collectively channeling this experience into a new sharpened vision of modern metalcore, deep rooted in DIY hardcore and metal, blending punishing grooves with metallic bite to give it a contemporary edge.
Fronted by Tony Maddocks, former vocalist of Essex hardcore legends Above All(Roadrunner Records) alongside guitarists Ron D (Dishonour the crown/Romeo Must Die), Paul Fletcher (Stampin Ground/Romeo Must Die), drummer Will Romain (Romeo Must Die) and bassist Charley Olsen (Hellblind), the collective have shared stages with some off the world's biggest metal and hardcore bands, cutting their teeth alongside such heavy weights as Korn, Fear Factory, Earth Crisis, Entombed, Sylosis, Unearth and Bury Tomorrow to name a few.
Formed in November 2023 the band didn’t waste any time, self-recording and releasing a number of digital singles with the most recent being ’They Walk Among Us’ accompanied by a video shot with acclaimed filmmaker Shaun Hodson (Loki Films). The band then played a few one-off shows supporting one of the Uk’s pioneering avant-garde metal bands Earthtone9 on their comeback show at the Black Heart in London. The show was a huge success with the band proving that they could still hold their own live. The bands set was readily received with the blistering sonic assault leaving a lasting impression on any one who was in the room that night.
The band have since been writing and recording a new six song EP ‘Eternal War’ self-recorded and mixed by Stu McKay at Studio 6 (Desolated, Malevolence, Dyscarnate, Guilt Trip, Ingested). Fates Messenger have raised the bar again forging a ferocious, brutal, groove infused slab of metalcore, that will translate across all metal and hardcore scenes. The record will be released via ‘Greyline Records’ later this summer, a new label set up by vocalist Tony to keep all aspects of the band's growth in-house.
Fates messenger is not here to relive past glories, they’re laser focused on the future ready to bring a new vision of heaviness, a true statement of intent - a real force to be reckoned with.

Metalcore titans Fates Messenger unleash second single and music video ‘Doomloop’, out today via Greyline Records! The track is taken from their forthcoming EP ‘Eternal War’, out 22nd August.
‘Doomloop’ is a sonic gut punch dripping in groove, it zeroes in on the way governments and corporations continue to fuel global conflict, not to resolve it, but to extract wealth from suffering. The track is both personal and political, capturing a sense of exhausted fury at watching history continue to repeat itself, like the horrific events we’re seeing across the globe.

Fates Messenger release their new single ‘Eternal War (feat. Tim Williams Vision of Disorder)’.
Drawing from the ashes of the bands Above All, Romeo Must Die, and Stampin' Ground, Fates Messenger emerged in late 2023 with the ferocity of veterans and the hunger of a new breed.
The single is taken from their forthcoming EP 'Eternal War', out 22nd August via Greyline Records.

New Music Coming Soon
Since the release of FM's first delivery of music in 2024 the band have been working on a new offering of tracks ready to release later this year. Still taking the DIY recorded approach the band have worked with mix engineer Stu Mckay of Studio 6 to give the tracks the mix they truly deserve. Stu has previously worked with such bands as Dyscarnate, Desolated, Malevolance, Injested and Guilt Trip to name a few. More to follow soon.

Fates Messenger release music video and ep 'They Walk Among Us’.
Speaking about the new song, vocalist Tony Maddocks says, “this was the first tune that Ron actually wrote once we started together. We wanted to make it just really hard hitting and catchy. I think there’s a groove to it, but it’s also got a really haunting melodic part that works really well and gives it a little bit more depth and feeling. Lyrically, the idea that came to my head for this song – I’d watched the HBO Stephen King series The Outsider which starred Jason Bateman [Ozark]. The idea that was sitting in my head was how evil forces or malevolent spirits were jumping from person to person, almost in a supernatural way, and manifesting themselves. And it ties in with all the shit that is going on in the world and what is making people tick and act like they do. You’ve only got to pick your phone up or turn on the news and there’s just some horrific thing going on in the world.”

UK-based Thrash / Metalcore four-piece Fates Messenger release their third single, Serpents Coil, and lyric video on June 28th. With a sound reminiscent of Pantera, the track takes elements of late 90’s/00 metal/hardcore and puts a modern twist on it.
Tony Maddocks (vocals): “Serpents Coil compares humans to snakes and protection with family and friends. When we are isolated and alone we are vulnerable but when tightly coiled together we are strong. So many are affected by pain and trauma, as snakes shed their skin we want to shed this pain a trauma to become stronger.”
The release follows the double single World Collapse and Carved in Stone last month.
